A sketch of the initial design for the costume, taking motifs from two costumes in the show, and a breakdown of each part of the costume.

I made my own pattern for the shoulder and chest armour, then created it with EVA foam glued together with contact cement. I used a heat gun to form the shoulder armour to the correct shape.
I then painted the armour using clear Flexi Paint and gold pigment powder.

I made the staff using a spray painted section of PVC pipe. The bird on the end is made from foam clay, and was spray primed, then painted with acrylics.

I added elastic straps to the chest armour and sewed in a velcro section to the back to allow for easy removal. The shoulder section was held on with a piece of velcro sewn on to the shirt.

I machine sewed the brown shirt in polycotton, using a pattern from Simplicity.
